I’m so excited to share “The Candid Christian” project I worked on in July with you. It’s a 10 episode series based on my life.
For the most part of July I was running on 3 hours sleep and forgetting to eat out of excitement and sometimes laziness too cook lol. Broke down on Friday, July 30th but I’m back to myself thanks to the healing power of God.
First week in July, a thought came to mind to start a YouTube series and it would be a Faith Based Reality / lifestyle series on my life. I first struggled with “is this God speaking or myself?”.
Trust Him to be faithful. On the 7th of July, I heard Him speak so clearly in my dream “You are going to need 20 people. Look out for them. I have already showed you some in dreams” and then I woke up FULL of Joy and had this overwhelming peace. I knew that initial thought I had was definitely from Him!
Working on this project has helped me understand 1 Corinthians 3:9. Paul talks about how we are co-workers with God. Myself, my family and friends, worked together on this and God’s part is to make you grow as you watch this.
Truly, if you choose to partner with God for His work, He will work with you! I have NEVER written a script but He helped me write scripts for this 10 episode series in 3 days!
As we wrote (The Holy Spirit and I), He would remind me of a dream and someone that was in it. He would remind me of testimonies and struggles my friends and family has shared with me as it related to each episode and when I reached out to them, they were so excited to be a part of this. When it was time to start filming, I counted everyone that was on the shoot schedule and guess what, they were 20!
As I write this, I have ALL the episodes for August ready. I had interviews, filmed and edited in 2 weeks!
Trust the devil to try to rear his ugly head, my internet connection wasn’t the best lol. A friend got me Spectranet WiFi, I had an Airtel MiFi and my mobile network, 9mobile. Despite having 3 service providers, the zoom interviews were always a struggle but the gates of hell cannot prevail over His church. It still happened and I’m thankful.
God gave me 3 scriptures which this project is anchored in and I’ll share as we progress. I’m so excited to share with you. I am certain you will be blessed by it.
