Happy New Month Fam!
I was missing in action in June (didn’t take out time to write a post) but I’m back and as the month went by, I could sense the Lord strongly calling me to give Him my heart.
The weird part about this was that I thought I had given it to Him and then He showed me I gave pieces instead of the whole of my heart.
He began to highlight the areas I was still holding on to and this past Sunday, He spoke to me through His word – Proverbs 23:26.
“Dear Child, I want your full attention; please do what I show you.”
The Message Translation
“My son, give me your heart and embrace fully what I’m about to tell you.”
The Passion Translation
“Pay close attention, son, and let my life be your example.”

I took out time to pray after He gave me this word. I said “Lord, You don’t fully have my attention. I see it now. I haven’t fully given You my heart. I’m still holding on to pieces of it. I don’t know how to fully let go. How can I?”
The answer to my question is right in that verse! – “Let My life be your example”.
How can we let Jesus’s life be our example? By reading through the gospels and working His words into our lives. Jesus said this Himself!
““These words I speak to you are not incidental additions to your life, homeowner improvements to your standard of living. They are foundational words, words to build a life on. If you work these words into your life, you are like a smart carpenter who built his house on solid rock. Rain poured down, the river flooded, a tornado hit—but nothing moved that house. It was fixed to the rock. “But if you just use my words in Bible studies and don’t work them into your life, you are like a stupid carpenter who built his house on the sandy beach. When a storm rolled in and the waves came up, it collapsed like a house of cards.”” – Matthew 7:24-27 MSG
It’s my prayer that as we begin this second half of the year, that we fully give Him our hearts and do this by working His words into our lives through the help of His Spirit.
I have been procrastinating about reading this lovely piece since I got the notification. Reading it right now was timely and I am blessed.
Thanks.
Thank you so much for taking out the time to read through. I thank God you were blessed.
