Every Day Life and The Word

You can be as close to God as we want to be but it will take time. Good relationships take time to build.
If you spend time in Gods word, you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.

So Jesus said to those Jews who had believed in Him, If you abide in My word [hold fast to My teachings and live in accordance with them], you are truly My disciples. And you will know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free.” – ‭‭John‬ ‭8:31-32‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Tell yourself you are going to give yourself thirty minutes to study Gods word everyday before you do anything else when you wake up.

Everything in the word is there for a reason. Study Gods word believing that it is going to minister to you. Ask God to show you something that you want to apply to your life each day.

Writing things down or typing into your phone will help you remember things. Everything in the bible is relevant to our every day lives.

If you don’t understand something there are books, messages to listen to, blogs and articles to read that will help you gain knowledge on that topic.

The bible is a whole book of record of peoples lives that did what God told them to do and those who didn’t do what God told them to do.

If you really want to learn the word, God will teach you by the Holy Spirit.

Tell yourself you’re going to make an effort to do what God wants you to do. Do not give up. Don’t read something you don’t understand and then give up.

As a new believer, approach reading the bible that you’re going to believe everything in it. “God said it, I believe it“.

If you are really hungry to learn and won’t make excuses the Holy Spirit will teach you.

If you have a lot of problems in  your life, set aside 30 minutes, talk to God honestly, read the bible  and ask him to give you a revelation. He is faithful and will answer your prayers. Go to God like a little child would go to his/her parent.

God is a main line not a side line. We receive comfort in the word of God.

Doing church work and good deeds does not complement your personal time with God. Don’t complain about your schedule you made it so if you don’t like it then change it.

There is no way we can do anything if we don’t spend quality time with God.

Meditate on the word. Roll the word over and over in your mind, think about if you apply it in your life. The same way you worry is the same way you meditate. Replace what you are worrying about with what you read in the bible.

Pray for revelation. We need revelation and not just information.

Every child of God has wisdom through Jesus inside of us. “But to those who are called, whether Jew or Greek (Gentile), Christ [is] the Power of God and the Wisdom of God.” – ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭1:24‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Let the word of God transform you.  The bible is our everyday life.
