One of the themes that repeatedly surfaced as I read Isaiah 25–28 was God’s wisdom.
Not just that He knows what He is doing, but that He knows when, how, and why.
There are seasons when we desperately want God to move faster, answer differently, or explain Himself. Yet these chapters reminded me that God’s plans have always been “well thought out, solid and sure.” His timing isn’t random, His methods aren’t careless, and His delays are never wasted.
As someone building businesses, nurturing communities, trusting God in marriage, and learning to surrender every area of my life, these chapters felt like an invitation to relax my grip and trust the Master Planner.
God’s Plans Have Already Been Thought Through
“You’ve done your share of miracle-wonders, well-thought-out plans, solid and sure.”
Isaiah begins with worship.
Before mentioning the miracle, he celebrates the Planner.
That struck me.
Often I celebrate God after I see the breakthrough, but Isaiah reminds us that God’s plans deserve praise even before we understand them.
Nothing catches God by surprise.
Every delay.
Every opportunity.
Every closed door.
Every unexpected turn.
They all fit into plans that are already complete in His mind.
This reminds me that while I may spend hours planning projects, proposals, businesses, or future dreams, God has already gone ahead of me.
His plans are never reactionary.
They’re intentional.
God Doesn’t Just Remove Pain—He Removes Shame
“God will wipe the tears from every face. He’ll remove every sign of disgrace.”
This is one of the most beautiful promises in Isaiah.
God is compassionate enough to care about tears.
But He doesn’t stop there.
He also removes disgrace.
Sometimes we pray for relief while still carrying shame from past failures, disappointments, or seasons that didn’t go as expected.
Yet God’s restoration is complete.
He heals what people saw.
He heals what people never saw.
He restores dignity alongside joy.
What an encouraging reminder that God’s redemption is never partial.
Waiting Is Never Wasted
“Look at what’s happened! This is our God! We waited for Him and He showed up and saved us!”
This verse deeply encouraged me.
Notice what they celebrate.
Not that they rushed ahead.
Not that they figured things out themselves.
They waited.
Waiting often feels unproductive.
Especially when you’re building something.
Especially when opportunities seem slow.
Especially when you’re praying for prayers you’ve carried for years.
Yet Scripture repeatedly presents waiting as active trust rather than passive delay.
One day God’s people looked back and realized every moment of waiting had prepared them for the right answer.
I believe many of us will tell that same testimony.
“We waited for Him…
…and He showed up.”
Peace Belongs to Those Who Keep Looking at God
A Mind Fixed on God Is a Peaceful Mind
“People with their minds set on you, you keep completely whole… because they keep at it and don’t quit. Depend on God… you have a sure thing.”
Peace doesn’t come from certainty about tomorrow.
It comes from confidence in the One who already knows tomorrow.
Isaiah links peace with focus.
Not circumstances.
Not finances.
Not career progress.
Focus.
The more our attention stays fixed on God, the steadier our hearts become.
In seasons filled with decisions, responsibilities, and uncertainty, that feels especially relevant.
Walking the Level Path
“The path of right-living people is level… We’re in no hurry, God. We’re content to linger in the path sign-posted with your decisions.”
This may have been my favourite passage.
“We’re in no hurry.”
What a countercultural confession.
Our culture rewards speed.
God often rewards faithfulness.
Isaiah paints a picture of believers who are content to walk at God’s pace because they trust the One leading them.
That challenges me.
Not every opportunity must be chased.
Not every door must be forced open.
Sometimes obedience looks like moving slowly enough to remain aligned with God’s direction.
Discipline Can Produce Restoration
“Through this experience Jacob’s guilt was taken away.”
Israel’s discipline wasn’t pleasant.
But it wasn’t purposeless either.
God wasn’t punishing simply to inflict pain.
He was restoring hearts.
There are seasons we wouldn’t choose, yet God uses them to remove things that prosperity never could.
He lovingly shapes our character, deepens our dependence, and teaches us to trust Him more fully.
Even painful seasons can become places of healing when surrendered to God.
God Knows When to Fight Our Battles
“Watch closely: God has someone picked out…”
I smiled reading this.
God had already prepared the solution before His people even knew they needed one.
He always has someone.
A provision.
An opportunity.
A conversation.
A relationship.
A strategy.
A breakthrough.
His answers are never late.
They simply arrive at His appointed time.
Sometimes God Simplifies Before He Deepens
“This is the place to lay down your burden… But they won’t listen… So God will start over with the simple basics…”
This passage challenged me.
Sometimes we want deeper revelation while ignoring simple obedience.
God first invited His people into rest.
They refused.
Only then did He return them to basic lessons.
I’ve learned that spiritual maturity isn’t measured by complicated knowledge but by consistent obedience.
Often the next breakthrough comes from faithfully practising what God has already said.
Build Your Life on the Right Foundation
“I’m laying a foundation… a trusting life won’t topple.”
Everything else can shake.
Markets.
Relationships.
Health.
Leadership.
Businesses.
Plans.
But lives built on trust in God remain standing.
Jesus later points us to Himself as the cornerstone, showing that lasting security isn’t found in our achievements but in Him.
This is a reminder I want to carry into every decision I make.
God Is the Master Farmer
Timing Matters as Much as Effort
Isaiah ends with one of Scripture’s most practical illustrations.
“Do farmers plow and plow and do nothing but plow?… After they’ve prepared the ground, don’t they plant?”
Farmers don’t perform every activity all the time.
Each season has a purpose.
Preparation.
Planting.
Waiting.
Harvesting.
The same is true spiritually.
Sometimes God is asking us to prepare.
Sometimes to plant.
Sometimes simply to wait.
Trying to harvest during planting season only creates frustration.
God Teaches Us What Each Season Requires
“They know exactly what to do and when to do it. Their God is their teacher.”
I loved this verse.
God doesn’t only give instructions.
He teaches timing.
He teaches wisdom.
He teaches process.
Sometimes I’ve prayed mostly for opportunities.
Perhaps I should pray more often for wisdom to recognise the season I’m actually in.
Every Seed Is Treated Differently
“The farmer knows how to treat each kind of grain… He’s learned it all from God.”
God doesn’t use identical methods with every person.
Our journeys differ because our assignments differ.
Comparison becomes unnecessary when we remember that the Master Farmer knows exactly what every field needs.
He knows how to grow each life.
Including mine.
Including yours.

Isaiah 25–28 reminded me that God is both Architect and Farmer.
He lays strong foundations before building.
He prepares the soil before planting.
He plants before harvesting.
And He knows exactly when each stage should happen.
That gives me tremendous peace.
I don’t have to force every door open or understand every delay.
I simply need to remain faithful to the season God has me in today, trusting that His plans are indeed “solid and sure.”
One day, like Isaiah prophesied, we’ll look back and joyfully declare:
“We waited for Him… and He showed up.”
Prayer
Father, thank You because Your plans are wise, intentional, and perfectly timed. Help me trust You even when I cannot see the full picture. Teach me to value Your process instead of rushing ahead of Your timing. Keep my mind fixed on You so that I can experience the peace You promise. Build my life on the firm foundation of Christ, and give me wisdom to recognise the season I’m in so I know when to prepare, when to plant, when to wait, and when to harvest. Let my life become a testimony that waiting on You is never wasted. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
