3:43 a.m. Reflections: A Sacred Start to the Year

I’m currently writing this at 3:43 a.m.

Not because I couldn’t sleep—but because sleep felt secondary to what my husband and I just experienced.

In the quiet hours of this morning, we found ourselves basking in The Glory of His Presence by Nathaniel Bassey. No agenda. No rush. Just worship. Stillness. Presence.

We ended up spending over an hour on the phone (he traveled to surprise my parents-in-love), talking, praying, listening—allowing the music to minister to us in ways that words honestly couldn’t. And here’s the beautiful thing: the album itself is 1 hour 52 minutes long, so you don’t feel hurried through it. It invites you to linger. To stay. To dwell.

This isn’t background music.

This is soaking worship.

It’s the kind of album you don’t multitask through. You listen with your heart open. You let it wash over you. You allow God to meet you right where you are—whether that’s joy, exhaustion, expectation, or deep longing.

As we step into a new year, I genuinely can’t think of a better way to begin than by building intimacy with God. This album creates space for that. It gently pulls you away from the noise and reminds you of what truly matters: His presence.

If you’re looking for:

  • a sacred way to start the year
  • music that helps you slow down and reconnect
  • worship that draws you into encounter, not performance

then I wholeheartedly recommend this.

✨ The Glory of His Presence is available on all streaming platforms.

Listen.

Download it.

Share it with your favourites.

And most importantly—prepare to encounter God through worship.

Sometimes, the most powerful moments happen in the quiet hours of the morning… when all that’s left is you, God, and the sound of His presence filling the room. 🤍
