The Great Turnaround

From the story of Bartimeus; Mark 10 verse 46-52

1. My turnaround begins the moment I say – enough is enough. When I decide no more suffering, no more sickness, loneliness, fruitless effort, barrenness.

Matthew 18:18 says, “Whatever you allow on earth is allowed in heaven, whatever you refuse on earth is refused in heaven”.

The day I say “enough is enough” is the day I pray desperate prayers and that’s the day God will answer.

(2 Kings 4:1-7. James 4:2. John 16:24. 2 Kings 1:9-12.)

When God uproots every “mountain” blocking my way, my testimony will be great.

2. My turnaround will come when I call on God for help. Bartimeus cried to the only one who could solve his problem. Jeremiah 33:3 “when you call on me, I will deliver you”.

(1 Samuel 16:11-13. 1 Kings 19:15-21)

3. The moment the destiny helpers came and told Bartimeus Jesus was calling him, he did something very significant. He threw away his garment. He took a step of faith.

God is not a talkative. God said “the just shall live by faith” and he promised in Joel 2:26-27, “my people shall not be ashamed.”

I have to believe the word of God. When a word comes to me, grab it as my own, apply it by faith and testimony will follow!.

Bartimeus was brought to Jesus and Jesus asked him, “what do you want?“. He said “I’m tired of darkness, tell darkness to leave me alone”.

Jesus issued a decree on Bartimeus’s situation “let there be light” and darkness disappeared from his life.

(Genesis 1:1-3. Psalm 33:8-9)

God has said in his word that when I fulfill certain conditions, I will decree a thing and it shall be establish.

These are notes I took down for myself and thought to share from Pastor E.A. Adeboye’s teaching on the 5th day of RCCG’s 2019 Congress.
