Jesus wasn’t joking when said “in the last days deception will increase“.  The problem with deception is that you don’t know you are deceived. If you believe a lie, it becomes true for you.

There are different kinds of deception; Self-deception, the deception of reasoning, the deception of sin, the deception of riches. These things cry out “I‘m your answer, I’m what you need yet, end up destroying you.”

The devil is a liar. He cannot tell the truth. the Bible says “the truth is not in him“. Jesus is the exact opposite. He tells us “I am the way, the truth and the life“.

Personally, I have believed some lies;

• I’m not smart and would always struggle in whatever I do.
• That God loves me only when I’m good.
• I was right about everything in my relationship. My partner was the one with the problems. “Oh God, you have to change T. He never understands where I’m coming from. He is the one with the problem”. 

A few days ago, the Holy Spirit made. me understand something on relationships;

• I had to change with always thinking I’m right.
• The change can happen if I let Him. Starts with me asking to not be deceived, that He should help me face truth.
• I can reach a point I don’t even care if there’s anything wrong with T.

How much are you finding wrong with the other people in your life?

The devil loves this! If he can keep us busy finding things that are wrong with the people in our lives then we never can be confronted by the truth about ourselves and we go our whole lives judging, criticizing and living this whole life that there’s no problem with us.

I learned these from a Joyce Meyer podcast and this morning made it my first time praying not to be deceived. With everything going on in the world today, why not try something that works? Maybe the joy, peace and love that you need or what you’ve been looking for, you might find in God’s word.

If what you’re doing is not working, why keep doing it? The word of God is so practical and applicable to our everyday life!

It is the same God doing things everywhere and this is not something that’s made up. Matthew 24 shows signs of the end times and particularly encourages us to not come into deception and pray against deception.

Please take the next few moments and if possible, on a regular basis to pray you are not deceived and if you have been deceived in any area of your life, He should show it to you.
