Happy new month Fam!
It’s been a while I’ve posted on here. I’ll catch up much later. Quickly want to share something I learnt yesterday.
I’ve always wondered how I can get more people to look forward to or appreciate my type of content. I’ll always create visual / written / audio content that teaches, motivates and encourages any individual to choose to walk with God everyday.
These days people are more interested in gossip / trends and I get this can be relaxing – the gists more often than not are hilarious but never adding any value to oneself if we decide to be honest.
Instead your time is wasted, you don’t gain any relevant information that helps move you forward or helps you become a better person, you waste money on data – just to list a few disadvantages.
I read a portion of Proverbs 9 yesterday and this scripture taught me that having the mindset that people will listen or appreciate valuable content is me not being wise.
“If you reason with an arrogant cynic, you’ll get slapped in the face; confront bad behavior and get a kick in the shins. So don’t waste your time on a scoffer; all you’ll get for your pains is abuse. But if you correct those who care about life, that’s different—they’ll love you for it! Save your breath for the wise—they’ll be wiser for it; tell good people what you know—they’ll profit from it. Skilled living gets its start in the Fear-of- GOD, insight into life from knowing a Holy God. It’s through me, Lady Wisdom, that your life deepens, and the years of your life ripen. Live wisely and wisdom will permeate your life; mock life and life will mock you.”
Proverbs 9:7-12 MSG
If you’re to live wisely, spend your time sharing what you know to the wise and having conversations, reading, watching or listening to content that add value.
