What are you doing with your gift ?

I watched a message by Myles Munroe early hours of this morning. It was titled “Becoming a Christian Billionaire”. He explained Genesis 1:28 in a way that I’d never understood it before and this is why it’s important to listen to other preachers asides from your pastor at the church you go to.

“And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.” – Genesis‬ ‭1:28‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Based on sermons I had listened to in the past, I had always thought this verse was related to bearing children. I’ll share what I learnt from the message.

To be fruitful means to be productive. Poverty comes when you stop producing. Poverty is lack of creativity and not resources. You have capacity to produce, it’s your gift. That idea you have done nothing about.

Crisis creates creativity and innovation and money is attracted to creativity so, it is those who are productive that will attract resources.

Multiply means to reproduce what I have produced. Replenish means to distribute. You share what you have reproduced with the world. So produce one good fruit and then multiply it. What you cannot reproduce will die.

Subdue means to control the market. Be after domination and not competition. If you do all these things the result is Dominion.

Big brands that are successful, obeyed these instructions from God. McDonalds. Microsoft and the likes.
