A few minutes ago, i was going through my hard drive and saw a folder “THE HOLY BIBLE – KJV AUDIO VERSION“. I remembered growing up, whenever my dad got a phone or laptop for myself, my siblings or my mum, before he gives it to us he ALWAYS sent this folder to the laptop or phone and encouraged us to make sure we listen to it. I smiled at this memory.

The folder is a little over 2GB so i’d delete it when i was much younger so i could have space for my secular songs and pictures. I didn’t know i sent the folder to my hard drive when i got it in 2015.

I have a bible app on my phone but i only open it to read daily bible verses. I never really go through my bible besides when reading my devotional so i’m hoping i’ll be able to study the bible more by listening to the audio version.

Sweet Dad, i know you’ll read this post but I hope you’ll be proud that i’ve started listening to it even though it took so long. I’m starting with the book of Romans.

We have other family traditions that without realizing shaped me into the woman i’ve become and i understand now that as a youth, it is important i strive to live holy and have Godly values because if i don’t what would i pass on to my children?

I’m a strong and independent woman today because of my parents who made me realize i am nothing without God and they wouldn’t always be with me but God would always be with me wherever i go so it is important i have Him as a friend and take my relationship with Him seriously.

Key note today is to start cultivating values now if you do not have so you can teach your children and they can in turn teach their children.

Even though it took me a long time to realize, i appreciate the everyday devotions at home, midweek, Sunday services and vigils i and my siblings always got taken to, the gospel songs and messages we had to listen to during car rides, long talks and discipline we got when we misbehaved, and a couple other things.
