If you know me, you will know I love T.D Jakes! His messages and style of delivery are so intense. I’m always so motivated and inspired.
A few days ago, I stumbled on a video on YouTube. He talked about taking time out to be alone. I’ll be sharing what I picked up and I hope you learn and practice it (that’s if you don’t already do this).
We need to be alone sometimes. To know who you are, you need time alone. Some people don’t like this but time alone helps us understand who God is, because we cannot understand who God is in a crowd.
Look at Jacob, Abraham, Moses ( to mention a few), it was when they were alone God revealed himself.
Can God get you by yourself ?
Is your life so cluttered with people, things and objects?
In order for self discovery to happen, you need to have privacy. We all need to have moments of reflection, meditation.
A calm, quiet place of reflection.
We sometimes purposely make sure we are always busy not taking time out, always on the go, never alone, never knowing who God is and who we are.
If you can’t make time for you, you won’t be able to make time for someone else.
Time alone makes you see who God is, who you are, what will fit you and what works for you.

That’s a thought provoking piece. Really true.
Thank you Dotun! 😊
In a world so filled with distractions, we need to create time for rest and replenishing or else we’ll find ourselves always spent. Nice piece👍🏽
