How have you been reacting to situations?

My bible app is one of the widgets on my phone. So without opening the app, it shows a bible verse everyday and lately I haven’t been studying my bible (I honestly got lazy and distracted), but I make sure I check everyday what verse is showing on the widget.

Before I went to sleep last night, it showed  Proverbs 18 verse 13. I was sleepy so I took a screen shot and said I’d read and meditate on it when I woke up.

I love my bible app because when I take out time to study, I can switch up translations to understand better.

The Message Translation

New Living Translation

This morning, I kept re-reading the verse and I saw i have indeed been answering before listening and I had done this severally, even last Friday. I am consciously going to start listening to facts before reacting to situations and I pray God helps me with this

I actually have been making the mistake of rushing to answer/speak/react to situations, until I also paid good attention to the Bible verse that says “.. let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath” James 1:19. I also came accross another place that says “..And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business..” 1Thess. 4:11.
Then I began to both pray and act in faith believing and trust God to help me.
    Thanks for sharing.
