This year I have had 2 major temptations that if I had given into I wouldn’t have been proud of myself.
Two different times this year, I have been offered money to do things that I know go against my belief as a Christian.
1 Corinthians 10:13 says “The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.”
This verse kept coming to mind each time and I prayed for strength and I did not give in, not because I did not need the money but because I knew it was not the right thing to do since I wasn’t at peace in my heart and I also was not going have the confidence to share how I made the money if ever a time came.
I’m choosing to share because I know there are other people out there who might be facing the same situation.
Things are tight in the country right now yes, but going against the values you live by is not going to be worth it. Think about the future. Would you be proud to say?
With everything we are experiencing, now is the time to ensure we have values we live by and not just any, chooseto live to please God. This way, there will be nothing you do that you would not be proud of.
You must have heard severally that the choices you make define who you are and I totally agree with this.
Take time to sit down, write down your values, prioritize them and consciously make decisions everyday so it becomes a habit.
I’m living a life of focus and clarity because I have values I live by and I thank God for that.
