My story here today is one of gratitude to God. Believe me the best gift a parent can give to their child is God. 

To raise their child to have the fear of God. To depend on Him when life gets tough. When all hope seems lost. When they will no longer be around. 

“But the LORD watches over those who fear him, those who rely on his unfailing love.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭33:18‬ ‭NLT‬‬

We are to walk by faith and not by what we see. This verse says for those who rely on His unfailing love and fear Him, He watches over. 

The dictionary meaning of WATCH means to “follow closely, maintain interest in, observe and guard in a protective way,  exercise care, caution or restrain about”.

Most people want God to keep watching over them but do you fear Him ? Are you relying on His unfailing love ? 

If your parents did not give you to Him for whatever reason you can ask to know Him yourself & give your life to Christ. 

Fear of the LORD is the foundation of true knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline. (‭Proverbs‬ ‭1‬:‭7‬ NLT)

When you read about God and learn to know Him from His word you build your foundation on true knowledge. This verse tells us we have the fear of the LORD when that happens. 

It will be selfish of me not to share my how I’ve come to know God . It will be selfish of you too. 

Share how you’ve come to know God with a friend or stranger or colleague at work. As you reflect and share your story, you’ll see indeed receiving Christ into your life is the best gift.
