Content Greater Than Container

Of what use is a beautiful container if the content is poison ? This post is to make you see the difference between outward and inward beauty. This can otherwise be said as “The content is more important than the container”.

In Matthew 23:27-28 Jesus condemned those who decorate graves when they know that what is inside is ordinary dust.

Paul was never described as a handsome man in the Bible. However, in Acts 19:11-12, the bible tells us that the handkerchiefs that were taken from the body of Paul was casting out demons. His body may be ugly but sweat from it brought out power.

Peter said in 1 Peter 3:1-4 that instead of decorating the outside, decorate the inside. In other words, as written in 2 Corinthians 4:7 let your body contain treasures of God. Your attention should be on how the Almighty God can fill your body with his power.

In 2 Kings 2:23-24 we read that Elisha was even bald headed. When he however cursed those who made jest of him, they discovered that he was a container full of power.

According to 1 Corinthians 6:19, you too can be a container for the Almighty God. It doesn’t matter how you look on the surface, provided there is power inside.

If you’re beautiful and you go to Hell, the devil will have a good laugh. Whereas, the Almighty God said in Matthew 5:29-30 that it is better you enter Heaven deformed than to retain your beauty and go to hell. Your deformity will change in Heaven.

For Heaven’s sake, concentrate on the inside and stop decorating your enemy.
