My church, The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), is currently observing its annual 2026 Fasting and Prayer program. This year, we’re fasting for 30 Days and it’s themed: “2026, My Year of Brand-New Beginnings.

This fast runs from February 1 – March 2, 2026, and is powered by the RCCG Directorate of Prayer

If you are:

An RCCG member who doesn’t yet have access to the booklet
A new convert who wants to participate
A believer who desires to align with the prophetic direction for 2026

Bible Text for 2026

Isaiah 43:18–19 KJV

“Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.”

2026 has been prophetically declared a season of Brand-New Beginnings — a call to:

Leave the past behind
Live in complete obedience
Walk in holiness
Engage deeply in praise, thanksgiving, and supplication

This is more than a fast. It is spiritual repositioning.

RCCG 2026 Fasting Guidelines

From the official guide:

Continuous (Dry) Fasting Structure

7 days of dry fasting = equivalent to 14 normal fasting days
14 days of dry fasting = equivalent to 30 normal fasting days

Prayer Sessions

All parishes are expected to hold daily prayer sessions
Preferably from 5:00 PM
For a minimum of one hour

Members are encouraged to actively participate and adhere to the approved prayer guidelines.
