The Candid Christian

This week Wednesday, every 3 hours, I had to push past four different temptations and this made me pause to think. As I sat with my thoughts, the Holy Spirit helped me see that overcoming these would help me grow in stature spiritually. 

If you’re currently faced with temptations, the enemy’s looking to steal from you and ultimately break your fellowship with God, so choose to discipline your flesh (no matter how hard).

“At the time, discipline isn’t much fun. It always feels like it’s going against the grain. Later, of course, it pays off big-time, for it’s the well-trained who find themselves mature in their relationship with God.” – Hebrews 12:11 MSG
