“You’re the one who needs something so don’t get tired of following up”

I’m in Port Harcourt, Nigeria at the moment. I came to visit my uncles and their families.

Last night, i was having a conversation with one of them and he was telling me his career story and what he’d learnt so far from his experiences.

“One of the mistakes people make is that after they try to get something the first time and it didn’t work out, they don’t try again the second or third or tenth time. Some other people sometimes get the opportunity but fail to follow up because they think they’ll be disturbing whoever is helping them, forgetting that the person doesn’t need anything from them and might be too busy to remember, which is why consistency in follow up is important”.

Please don’t miss out on opportunities because you didn’t follow up or push. Don’t give up because you tried once or twice and it didn’t come through.

Keep pushing and everything will work eventually. Have a great day.
